Δημοσιότητα στα μεγάλα ευρωπαϊκά μέσα παίρνει η στρατηγική συνεργασία του ομίλου της TUI με την ελληνική κυβέρνηση για την επιμήκυνση της τουριστικής περιόδου στη χώρα μας σε ορίζοντα πενταετίας.
Όπως γράφει το έγκριτο TRAVELMOLE " TUI to extend holiday season in Greece TUI chief executive Peter Long promised the operator will attempt to extend the season to selected Greek destinations following a meeting today with the country's Prime Minister.

Speaking immediately after the meeting with Antonis Samaras, Long also said TUI would continue to invest in resorts. "TUI Travel has enjoyed a strong relationship with Greece for over 50 years built on a common vision and efforts to position it as one of the most attractive holiday destinations," he said. Long added that Greece had made an "impressive recovery" in 2013, following its much-publicised economic woes. In 2014, TUI expects to sell almost 10% more holidays to the destination, he said. "We believe these numbers will continue to grow as we develop more unique holiday experiences for our customers," added Long. "Following the troubles last summer, Greece has put its economic woes behind it and is looking towards a future of growth in which tourism will undoubtedly play a large part. "By investing in the country's main gateways' infrastructure, such as airports and ports, as well as improving road networks, the Greek Government can ensure tourism will remain a key driver of the economy." TUI spends over half a billion euros in Greece and plans to open new hotels in Rhodes and Crete.
